303 Pinoys in Saudi Arabia benefit from embassy outreach

At least 303 Filipinos based in Saudi Arabia's eastern Al-Khafji region benefited from the first consular outreach of the Philippine embassy there.

The embassy said the team led by Vice Consul Winston Almeda conducted the outreach Aug. 9 and 10 and served 303 Filipinos from the Sahel Hotel.

"The team encoded 285 e-passport applications, processed 15 notarial papers and 3 extensions of passports," the embassy said in a news release.

Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ezzedin Tago extended his appreciation to the community leaders and volunteers in the eastern region who helped in the outreach mission.

Meanwhile, the embassy said its next "Embassy on Wheels" outreach will be in Al-Khobar, Eastern Region on Aug. 29 and 30 at the Al Jazeera International School Dammam in Al Rakah, Al Khobar.

It said applicants for renewal shouldd schedule an appointment for the renewal of their passport through the Embassy’s website www.philembassy riyadh.org.

"The online appointment system allows the passport applicant to choose the date and time of their preferred appointment, and confirmation through an email is automatically sent to them," it said.

As for those who need replacements for lost passports or new passports for infants, they do not need an appointment and may proceed directly to the counter to accomplish the supporting documents for a passport. - VVP, GMA News
