Clarification on the adoption of eClaims Program and the IHCP Portal
To improve operational efficiency in claims processing through information
technology and to reduce turnaround time in claims payments, adoption of electronic
transactions is highly encouraged.

Accredited hospitals that have existing electronic information system (e.g. HOMIS,
Bizbox, etc.) are advised to adopt the eClaims Program while those without existing
electronic information system may use the IHCP Portal instead.
To guide hospitals on the differences in capabilities of these two programs, please see
the following table:

 eClaims IHCP Portal
 - search members
 - check eligibility
            - submit electronic claims
      - verify claims status
 - search members
 - check eligibility
                            - pre-cataract surgery authorization

The following Health Information Technology Providers (HITPs) will provide the prescribed applications and services to facilitate electronic transactions, and will assist the hospitals with their eClaims Program: Bizbox Inc., Eurolink Network International Corporation, Medilink Network Inc., Segworks Technologies Corporation, Topaz Philippines Software Development & Management Services, and Total Transcription Solutions Inc. (TTSI).

HITPs are expected to deliver the PhilHealth-prescribed electronic services to hospitals such as application front-end for the service utility (eClaims); helpdesk; assistance to IHCPs in acquiring digital certificates; training for the use of their application utilities; and secured data transmission and data storage back-end.
