Pinoy in hospital after falling from UAE high-rise – report

An overseas Filipino worker is in a United Arab Emirates hospital intensive care unit after falling from a high-rise building in the Sharjah area Friday night.

According to a Saturday report from UAE news site Gulf News, the 37 years old Filipino was in critical condition at the Kuwaiti Hospital.

The report also said that the OFW was "under the influence of alcohol" when he fell from the building, though it was not clear if the fall was an accident or a suicide attempt.

The Filipino is under constant police watch, while the Al Buhairah Police investigates the matter further.  Joel Locsin/DVM, GMA News
