11 more undocumented OFWs return from Saudi Arabia

Another batch of undocumented overseas Filipino workers returned home from Saudi Arabia Tuesday, after the Philippine government helped them secure the needed travel requirements.

The current batch of repatriated workers arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 before 6 p.m., aboard Cathay Pacific flight CX-919, radio dzBB's Nimfa Ravelo reported. They were welcomed by labor officials.

With the Tuesday arrival of the OFWs, the number of undocumented Filipinos who returned home from the Kingdom grew to 197.

In past weeks, several OFWs camped out near the Philippine consulate in Jeddah, seeking help to return home.

Meanwhile, the dzBB report said there were now fewer Filipinos camped out as many of them were brought to a shelter. — DVM, GMA News
