Aussie husband of murdered Pinay gets emotional online
The husband of an Australia-based Filipina who was raped and murdered last Wednesday in Queensland said that he will never get over the loss of his wife.
According to a Monday report by Australia's Herald Sun, Cory Ryther responded to a social media tribute to his wife, Joan Canino Ryther, posted by a relative in the Philippines. Ryther thanked a cousin of Joan's for the post and wrote, "I will never get over you my love."
Joan's body was found last Wednesday in the front yard of a house in Logan Central, Queensland. She was on her way to work at a fast food restaurant when she was attacked and raped.
Joan was three months pregnant when she was murdered.
Investigators are still searching for possible witnesses, including a man in a yellow jumper who was said to be "sobbing" in the front porch of a nearby home on the night of the murder. — DVM/HS, GMA News
