DFA: No Pinoy among 19 hurt in New Orleans shooting
No Filipino was among the 19 wounded in a shooting incident in New Orleans, the Philippine Consulate General to Chicago said Tuesday (Manila time).
In a post on its Twitter account, the Philippine embassy in Washington said this was the report of Philippine Consul General to Chicago Leo Herrera Lim.
"No Filipinos (were) among (the) 19 wounded in (the) shooting incident in New Orleans on Sunday," itsaid, quoting Herrera Lim.
Earlier, Herrera Lim said they were checking for possible Filipino casualties in the shooting that marred the Mother's Day parade in New Orleans.
An earlier report said 19 people, including two children, were shot in New Orleans on Sunday during a Mother's Day parade.
The victims included 10 men, seven women, a girl and a boy aged 10.
However, the children were grazed and were in relatively good condition, police said. — ELR, GMA News
