Pinoy among missing after cargo vessel capsizes off Scotland – report

A cargo vessel, thought to be carrying eight people, has overturned off the north of Scotland, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) said.

A fleet of lifeboats and helicopters spent Saturday afternoon (Saturday evening/Sunday morning, Manila time) searching the area for the Cemfjord, but so far no survivors have been found.

The upturned boat was spotted about 15 miles north-east of Wick.

Seven Poles and one Filipino were on board the vessel, its owners said.

The search for survivors is due to resume at first light on Sunday. — Reuters
