PHL Embassy in UK closed Feb. 19 for Chinese New Year

The Philippine Embassy in the United Kingdom will be closed on Feb. 19 in observance of the Chinese New Year.

In an advisory, the embassy said this is in compliance with Presidential Proclamation No. 831 dated July 17, 2014.

According to the embassy, Presidential Proclamation No. 831 declares Thursday, Feb. 19, a special non-working day.

Regular office hours will resume on Friday, February 20.

But it said that in cases involving death or detention of a Filipino citizen in the UK, it may be contacted via emergency mobile phone at 078-0279-0695.  Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
