Pinoy, 2 others hurt in oxygen tank explosion in UAE –report

Three workers, one of them a 51-year-old Filipino, were hurt after an oxygen tank exploded late last month in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, a report on Khaleej Times said.

The report identifed the victims as Ray Parita Greco, Filipino; Vasanta Bahadur, Nepalese; and Manukutti K., Indian.

The oxygen tank exploded on the morning of January 27 while being filled up by the three, the report said. The victims reportedly tried to fill up the tank "in a hurry," causing it to explode.

While Vasanta and Manukutti were put on life support at Al Qasimi Hospital, there were no updates on Greco. —Rie Takumi/KBK, GMA News
