3 Pinays win in Singapore pole dance challenge

Three Filipino women won in the recently held pole dance competition in Singapore, an exclusive report by GMA News' Mark Zambrano on "Balitanghali" said Monday.
Rica Angela Ingco's graceful and creative pole dance performance earned her the top prize in the Women's Semi Pro Solo category in the SG Pole Challenge 2016, the report said.
"Meron siyang konsepto na malakas, very unique, kumbaga 'di siya madalas napapanood sa mga pole dance competitions," said Ingco of her performance that brought her her first international victory.
The report said Ingco perfected her performance in only three months of practice.
Meanwhile, the tandem of Jamaica Jornacion and Kristel de Catalina won in the professional doubles category in the pole art competition, the report also said.
"With doubles you have to meet halfway," said Jornacion of their performance, which was met by cheers from the audience. "Kung ano yung strength ng isa, ganon din yung isa dapat. So dapat pantay ng energy and dapat nagsi-sync yung movements."
Catalina, meanwhile, expounded on the health benefits of pole dancing.
"It's a total body workout so ang advice ko rin sa mga tao na gustong mag-pole dancing ay never give up," she said.
With these triumphs, the whole Beast House Pole Dancing Team intends to join other international competitions this year. —KBK, GMA News
