Duterte vows to stamp out illegal recruitment

Outgoing Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte on Monday vowed to stamp out illegal recruitment when he starts his term as president on June 30.
In his first press conference as presumptive president in Davao City, Duterte said he would not wait for illegal recruiters to victimize someone before he'd have them arrested.
"Lahat ng illegal recruiters, 'di na kailangang may biktima pa," he said. "I will order the arrest of all recruiters operating without the proper permit."
"I would know if I see one. I can smell a rat a mile away," he added.
He also proposed the creation of a one-stop shop for Filipinos who want to work abroad.
"Gusto ko yung public applying for overseas [jobs], 'wag niyong pabalik-balikin," he said. —KBK, GMA News
