10,000 Pinoys cast votes in Singapore



Around 10,000 Filipinos in Singapore have already voted for the May midterm elections in the Philippines.
A report on Unang Balita on Monday said based on data from the Commission on Elections (Comelec), there are 80,000 registered voters in Singapore.
The poll body encouraged Filipinos abroad to exercise their right to vote this coming polls.
The Philippine Embassy in Singapore said it is open even on May 1, Labor Day, which is a regular holiday in the Philippines.
The overseas absentee voting period started on April 13 and will run until election day, May 13. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK, GMA News
