Delays in ballot delivery bug US OFW voters

Many Pinoy overseas voters in United States have not been able to vote yet due the delay in the delivery of ballots, according to a report of GMA News’ Unang Balita on Thursday.
Philippine consulate officials were supposed to deliver the ballots last April 13, but the Commission on Elections (Comelec) failed to release the fund to pay for the postal services.
Only 30 percent of the election packets have been sent to the US, so far, for the month-long overseas absentee voting (OAV), which will end on May 13, elections day, for the 2019 midterm polls.
At least 1.5 million Pinoy voters are living in the US. —Joviland Rita/LBG, GMA News
