Duterte-backed bets got support of Pinoy voters in China

Most senatorial candidates supported by the Duterte administration got the nod of Filipino overseas voters in the People's Republic of China during the midterm elections.
Based on the certificate of canvass (COC), Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos topped the Top 12 list with 31,957 votes.
Marcos was followed by Dr. Willie Ong (30,969 votes), former Bureau of Corrections chief Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa (30,934 votes) and Taguig lawmaker Pia Cayetano (24,745 votes).
The others who made it to the Top 12 included Glenn Chong (22,730 votes), reelectionist Senator Cynthia Villar (22,339 votes), former Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Francis Tolentino (20,219 votes), lawyer Larry Gadon (16,959 votes), and reelectionist senators Sonny Angara (16,318 votes), Grace Poe (13,009 votes) and JV Ejercito (12,304 votes).
According to the Comelec, the total number of registered voters in the People's Republic of China is 102,421.
The total number of registered voters who had actually voted was 40,816, for a turnout of 39.85%. — RSJ, GMA News
