Mass, prayers for Yolanda victims in Washington DC Nov. 8
A Mass and an ecumenical prayer will be offered in the United States for those who died in the wake of super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) last year.
The Philippine embassy in Washington D.C. said the Mass and prayers will be held 5 p.m. of Saturday, Nov. 8, one year after Yolanda devastated the Visayas.
It will have the theme "A Year after the Storm: A Testament of Hope."
Organizers of the event include the Philippine embassy, the US Philippines Society, and the Philippine Humanitarian Coalition.
Yolanda devastated the Visayas in November 2013, leaving more than 6,000 dead.
