Veloso family arrives in Indonesia to visit Mary Jane

Mary Jane Veloso's family is now in Indonesia to visit her on her 31st birthday.
Photos posted on Facebook by Migrante International, one of the groups supporting Mary Jane, showed her parents Cesar and Celia Veloso, together with her two sons, arriving in Jakarta, carrying their gifts for her. They were accompanied by Mary Jane's lawyer and Migrante members.
Mary Jane, who was convicted in Indonesia for drug smuggling, celebrated her birthday on Sunday, January 10, nine months after she was spared from execution through a temporary reprieve granted by Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
According to Migrante International, the Veloso family is expected to visit Mary Jane in jail on Tuesday to Thursday, possibly Friday. They will be accompanied by Mary Jane's Filipino lawyer Edre Olalia.
Migrante said theater actress and women’s rights advocate Monique Wilson is also planning to join them in Yogjakarta as a show of support for the family.
The visit was arranged by the Department of Foreign Affairs. —KBK, GMA News
