Pinay singer Ivy Paredes survives Boot Camp on 'X Factor UK'

Filipina singer Ivy Grace Paredes survived this week's Boot Camp on 'X Factor UK' with her rendition of 'One Sweet Day' by Mariah Carey.
For the Overs Category, Paredes, 33, performed with Mike Hough and Lascel Wood on Sunday night. She will now move to the Six Chair Challenge that starts next week where she will compete with other acts in the Overs Category.

The Six Chair Challenge will whittle down each category to just six acts each.
Those in the Overs Category will be mentored by judge Sharon Osbourne, wife of English heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne.
Other judges are Simon Cowell, who will mentor the Girls; Nicole Scherzinger, the Boys; and Louis Walsh, the Groups.
Paredes, who has a two-year-old daughter in the Philippines, considers "The X Factor UK" is the biggest competition that could give her the stepping stone she needs to do good in the future.
"For me, I believe this is the biggest competition and I want to be a part of it. [The] X Factor [UK] can give me the stepping stones I need to do good in the future because this is all for my daughter," she said after passing the audition. —KBK, GMA News
