Pinoy magician may become blind in one eye after gang attack in Dublin

A Filipino magician is likely to lose sight in one eye after he and his friends were assaulted by a gang in Dublin, Ireland on September 9.
According to his friends who had accompanied him during the night of the incident, Magic Mark Beltran was hit with a bottle on the face, severely injuring his right eye.
"We still hold out hope for a miracle, but doctors have told Mark that the wound on the eye was severe, and that he will not likely recover sight in his eye," they wrote in Beltran's GoFundMe page, which they set up.
Beltran had undergone surgery in Mater Hospital in Dublin, and the medical bills were already covered, they said.
However, they lamented that Beltran will be facing "financial challenges," because he will be flying back to the Philippines and will be unable to work in the next few months.
His friends started the GoFundMe campaign to help Beltran get back on his feet.
"Together we can make sure Magic Mark gets back to his magic making ways," they wrote. —ALG, GMA News
