Retrenched OFW to sell own paintings for income

OFW Jhun Templa spent his eight months of being jobless and stranded in Saudi Arabia in a different way: by painting.
Now finally repatriated, Templa is planning to sell his paintings in order to make ends meet as he looks for a job opportunity, according to a report on "Balitanghali" on Tuesday.
"Walong buwan na walang sahod. Nag-painting-painting na lang para kumita kung sakaling mabenta 'to, kung sino bumili," Templa said.
The report said Templa displayed his works at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) upon his arrival on Monday night.
Templa said he made the paintings to stave off loneliness during his months of being jobless in Saudi Arabia, where thousands of his kababayans were laid off as a result of the slump in oil prices.
Templa was one of the 118 OFWs from Saudi Arabia who arrived home on Monday night. —Rie Takumi/KBK, GMA News
