Cops nab driver in hit-and-run that killed Pinay doctor in Bahrain

The driver of the truck that ran over a Filipina doctor in Bahrain was arrested on Tuesday, five days after the hit-and-run incident, GMA News anchor Mike Enriquez reported on "24 Oras" Wednesday.
According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the female pediatrician immediately died after suffering a major fracture from being run over thrice by the 16-wheeler truck.
She was taken to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The pediatrician's employer, an international hospital, agreed to cover all expenses for her repatriation. Her family has been notified of the incident while papers for her return to the Philippines are being processed. -Rie Takumi/NB, GMA News
