OFW to file case vs. fellow OFW for punching, biting her in UAE

An OFW is set to file a case against her fellow Filipino worker for allegedly beating her up while they were working at their employer's home in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Chris Jean de Leon, 30, accused one Aiza Arca Claudio of punching her, biting her, and dragging her by the hair out of their room during an argument on April 13.
De Leon said the argument started when she stopped Claudio from closing the door to their room where she was charging her phone. She said other people in the house had to break up their fight.
De Leon said she had to bring herself to a hospital for treatment after she sustained wounds during the alleged attack.
Due to the incident, both OFWs were sent home by their employer — De Leon to Magsaysay town in Lanao del Norte and Claudio to Pampanga.
De Leon, who said her contract was supposed to end in June, said she could've filed a case against Claudio in the UAE, but their employer lied to authorities and told them that her visa was already expired.
De Leon is seeking assistance from the Overseas Worker's Welfare Administration in filing a case against Claudio, whom she blamed for her having sent home prematurely. Rie Takumi/KBK, GMA News
