4 Pinoys get six months for theft in Abu Dhabi

Four Filipinos were given a six-month jail sentence by Abu Dhabi's criminal court after they were foundguilty of stealing Dhs 2.5 million in November last year.
report on 7Days.ae said the four — three Filipina housemaids and a male cohort — will be deported after serving their sentences.
separate report on Dubai Informer stated that the crime took place while the housekeepers' employers left Abu Dhabi for a three-week vacation.
Both reports did not identify the Filipinos.
Prosecutors elaborated on the 7Days report that the main suspect, one of the maids, "planned to steal the money with the help of the two other maids who worked in the same house" along with the man.
Their employers only found out about the crime after they returned home.
An intensive search lead to the arrest of the suspects, who immediately admitted to stealing from their employers. Rie Takumi/KBK, GMA News
