Pinoy gives dance lessons in Italy to keep kids off drugs

A Filipino choreographer in Italy has organized weekly dance lessons in an effort to keep children off the streets and off illegal drugs.
A report on Balitanghali on Wednesday said Jonathan Jose, 24, teaches Filipino kids, ages 5 to 19, hip-hop, electronic and other modern dances during his weekly classes.
Each kid has to pay only seven euros or P100 to attend Jose's two-hour classes on Fridays and Saturdays.
Jose, however, still admits kids to his classes even without payment to fulfill his aim of keeping kids away from the influence of illegal drugs, the report said.
He also teaches the kids Tagalog during their twice-weekly sessions to bring them closer to their Filipino heritage as most of them grew up in Italy.
The report said some of Jose's students have already performed in various events after learning how to dance from him. Rie Takumi/KBK, GMA News
