55 distressed OFWs arrive from Jordan

Fifty-five distressed overseas Filipino workers, mostly women with children, returned to the Philippines from Jordan on Saturday.
The repatriates arrived at 3:23 p.m. at the NAIA Terminal 1 via Etihad Airlines Flight EY424, according to a Super Radyo DZBB report by Manny Vargas.
They had gone through Jordan government's amnesty program due to conflicts with their documents, as well as with their jobs in the host country, the report added.
Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) representatives vowed to extend assistance, and to temporarily shelter those who are not immediately able to go home.
OFWs with children will also be provided psycho-social intervention as they may face problems once they return to their respective families. —Jamil Santos/LBG, GMA News
