DFA: No report yet showing Pinoys among victims in NZ shootings

The Department of Foreign Affairs on Saturday said it has not yet received any information indicating there were Filipinos among victims of the deadly shootings in New Zealand.
In a statement, the DFA said: "According to the Philippine Embassy in Wellington, it has not received any information so far there were Filipino victims" in New Zealand's Christchurch shootings.
Earlier, Malacañang joined the international community in condemning the mass shootings in mosques in New Zealand, calling it a "reprehensible act."
"The Philippines joins all peace-loving nations and peoples around the world in condemning — in the strongest and in no uncertain terms — this assault on the faithful in places of worship," presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a statement.
Forty-nine people died and more than 40 people were wounded after a gunman went to two mosques in New Zealand last Friday and shot people as they prayed.
The main suspect, Brenton Harrison Tarrant, a 28-year-old Australian citizen, has been charged with murder. —LBG, GMA News
