DFA: Pinay hurt in vehicular accident in Kazakhstan

A Filipina was one of the 27 injured in a multiple-vehicle collision in Kazakhstan, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Wednesday.
The road accident happened on Tuesday involving three buses, two cars, and an ambulance. Two were reported dead.
According to authorities, the Filipina victim identified as Jennifer Francisco Lavapiez immediately informed the Philippine Embassy in Russia of her situation through social media.
"The Embassy is monitoring her situation and is coordinating with its contacts in Kazakhstan in following up with the bus company on their support for the victims of the collision," the DFA said.
Lavapiez is in stable condition after being brought to a hospital in Astana. The Embassy assured that she was being assisted by her employer. — Dona Magsino/RSJ, GMA News
