JAPAN Hires Housekeepers From The Philippines According To POEA

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) has recently announced that Japan is looking for housekeepers from foreign countries like Philippines.
POEA will soon start the processing of all applications by June 19. Applicants should also have at least one-year experience as housekeeper and has achieved Level 2 Certification acquired from any TESDA Accredited centres. Applicants should also need to know how to speak the native language of Japan, Niponggo.
Applicants will shoulder passport fees, medical examination, clearances, membership fees for PhilHealth and PAG-IBIG. Despite that applicants are exempted from other fees like placement fees, transportation fares and language training fees. Qualified applicants will then be called as housekeepers.

Hans Leo Cacdac, POEA Administrator, said that housekeepers who will pass the entire process will be sent to Japan as soon as the entire process is fixed and will be working for 8hrs/day and 2 days off. But employees won’t be staying at the house of their employers, they will have to pay for their food and accommodation.
Housekeepers will receive the minimum wage which is ¥136,203 or approximately P58,565.38, minus their food and accommodation which leaves the employees ¥59,856 or P25,736.

STAR / Michael Varcas MANILA, Philippines — While Chinese vessels in the West Philippine Sea (WPS) have decreased in number, they have maintained a presence in three key land features where naval and coast guard ships have intensified operations in the past seven days, according to the Philippine Navy.
