2 Fil-Canadian hip-hop kids wow Ellen DeGeneres

A Filipino-Canadian dance duo recently wowed American celebrity Ellen DeGeneres when they guested on her talk show in the United States.

Lucky Ancheta and AC Bonifacio, both 12 years old and collectively known as Lucky Aces, impressed DeGeneres and the audience alike with their dance moves and facial expression, a report on “24 Oras” said Tuesday.

“Oh my god, you're amazing!” DeGeneres quipped when she met the duo.

For their performance, the pair received two VIP tickets to the upcoming concert of Ariana Grande, who the report said was the duo's idol, in Vancouver.

separate report on the Daily Postal said Lucky Aces have been named a PNE Finalist in 2013, and champions in Surrey Festival of Dance and Prelims Champions in Junior Division for World HipHop International 2014 Next Level HipHop Competitions.

In a Skype interview with the GMA News, the two recalled their experience guesting on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“I can't believe we were there,” said Ancheta, while Bonifacio described DeGeneres, who discovered another Filipino talent Charice Pempengco, as “really generous.”

The “24 Oras” report said the two have not been to the Philippines for a long time. It said they miss the Philippines, especially ube, their favorite Filipino food.

The two have also expressed interest in guesting on “Wowowin,” Willie Revillame's upcoming Sunday afternoon game show on GMA. —KBK, GMA News
