PhilHealth Honors Remarkable Performances of Employees
AS part of its 20th anniversary celebration, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) recently feted its outstanding employees in simple but elegant ceremonies at the Chardonnay by Astoria Plaza in Pasig City.
Through the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Honor Awards, selected PhilHealth officers and employees were cited for their outstanding performances in the field of public service. Recipients of the Honor Awards were nominated by their peers and managers and underwent rigorous screening, verification and validation by the PRAISE Committee.
“I hope that this award of recognition does not stop you from pursuing what you have started, but rather it should serve as an inspiration to work harder and continue to be the best example to our colleagues in PhilHealth,” said PhilHealth President and CEO Alexander A. Padilla.
Among the recipients of the PRAISE Honor Awards 2015 are Maria Citadel G. Arzadon of Region I as Model Employee; Wilfred G. Hernandez of Region IV-B as Model Supervisor; andGregorio C. Rulloda, OIC-Senior Vice President for Fund Management Sector as Model Executive Officer.
Candida Firmeza of Region VI received the Customer’s Delight Award for her courtesy, efficiency and dedication to duty as promptly or formally recognized by PhilHealth clients, whileDaniel F. de Leon, OIC-Vice President for Area I was named Dangal ng PhilHealth Awardee for his consistent demonstration and observation of the eight (8) norms of conduct as provided under Republic Act 6713 (Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards). He will automatically be nominated to the Dangal ng Bayan Award of the Civil Service Commission. Ernesto F. Rivera of the IT Management Department received the Innovation Award for developing the Health Care Institution Portal which accredited hospitals now use to check on the eligibility of PhilHealth members to avail themselves of benefits.
Laarni Joy E. Allanic of Region VII,Rodolfo B. Del Rosario, Jr., OIC-Branch Manager of NCR-South andJoanna N. Romero from the Human Resource Department were namedPrestige Awardees for garnering academic honors in their educational advancement through foreign and local scholarship programs.
The Local Health Insurance Office - IloIlo was named Exemplary LHIO Awardee for topping or exceeding the organizational units’ performance targets, while PhilHealth Regional Office VI won the Star PRO Award for exhibiting superior performance directly related to the fulfillment of the corporate thrusts or theme for the year.
The PhilHealth Chorale received the President and CEO’s Award of Excellence, an award especially identified by the President and CEO upon his judicious discretion to commend the group’s highly remarkable performance.
The PRAISE Honor Awards 2015 also conferred the Loyalty and Government Service Awards to retirees who have served PhilHealth for the past 15 and 20 years, while Posthumous Awards were presented in honor of departed employees.
Awardees each received a Certificate of Appreciation, 20th Anniversary commemorative medal, commemorative stamp and monetary incentives. (Faudia H. Subillaga)
