DUBAI – A Filipino family is appealing for help three weeks after a fire destroyed their apartment in Dubai.
The Marquinez family lost their flat to a fire last August 12. The apartment was located at Al Rigga Road in Deira in Dubai.
Aside from their several items and clothes, the fire also destroyed their personal things and documents.
Rosales and her 10-year-old relative were the only ones in the house when the fire broke out past 2 in the afternoon.
No one was injured in the fire.
Authorities are still investigating what caused the fire. The fire also damaged 11 other houses.
Marquinez’s wife Janette also appealed to kababayans for food.
“Kahit bigas man lang po, mga canned goods na para po namin mapagsalu-saluhan dahil wala po talaga kaming mapagkukuhanan sa ngayon ng aming pagkain,” she said.
Rosales said they continue to rely on others for help.
Makaka-ahon din kami," Rosales said.
Those who want to help the Marquinez family can contact the head of the family at 050 6508969 or 0509219654. -- Report from Rachel Salinel, ABS-CBN Middle East News Bureau
