Body of Pinay 'chop-chop' victim in Dubai yet to be repatriated

Over a week ago, Inspector Salvio De Lima of Taguig Police flew to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to bring home the body of his late wife, an OFW whose mutilated body was found in the desert last June.
It was a fruitless trip, as Salvio arrived home in the Philippines on Friday without his wife's body, according to a report on "24 Oras."
"Talagang disappointed ako doon," an emotional Salvio said. "Di ko kaya kakong iuwi kita."
Salvio said all he wanted was to give his wife, Maria Normita Salvadora De Lima, a proper funeral.
The report said the body could not be repatriated yet as the case was still ongoing.
Maria Normita's burned and headless body was found buried in the desert last June. Apart from her head, her hands were also missing.
The victim's nephew, Glen Ambro, was named suspect in the killing.
The report said Consul General Paul Raymond Cortes vowed that they would continue to monitor the case. —KBK, GMA News
