PHL team wins Macau lion dance competition

The Philippines bested seven other countries and won the female traditional lion dance category of the MGM Lion King Clash in Macau on Sunday.
 
Manuel Sy, coordinator of the Philippine delegation, told GMA News Online that the Philippines' female team won the championship with a score of 8.90. Macau  came in second with a score of 8.83, and Malaysia was third with 8.76.
 
"Ito and third time na sumali tayo. Nung 2014, nag-champion. Nung 2015, second place tapos ngayon, champion ulit," Sy said.
 
Teams from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand also took part in the competition.
 
The Philippine delegation is scheduled to return to the country Monday noon. — DVM GMA News
