2 Pinoy photographers’ works displayed in Xiamen festival

Two China-based Filipino photographers had their works featured at a recent international art festival in Xiamen, the Department of Foreign Affairs said.

Bong Antivola and Cocoy Declaro's works were displayed along with those of six other foreign artists in the Nihao International Art Festival, which opened April 11 at the JFC Mall.

The DFA added that the other artists, also Xiamen-based, are from Japan, Italy, Spain, France, Chile, and the Netherlands.

"The works of Antivola and Declaro provide depictions of daily life as well as scenic sights in Xiamen, Fujian and in the Philippines," the department said.

For his part, Philippine Consul General Julius Flores and other officials of the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen attended the opening program.

Flores encouraged other Xiamen-based Filipino artists to undertake similar activities to promote the Philippines.  Joel Locsin/BM, GMA News
