Body of OFW in cadaver mix-up finally home

The remains of the overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who died of a heart attack in Tel Aviv, Israel finally arrived in the Philippines on Wednesday, days after the wrong body was sent to his family.
A report on Balita Pilipinas said this has already been confirmed by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
The DFA has earlier identified the deceased as Fernando Peralta, 53, who died on May 25.
On June 4, Peralta's family in the Philippines informed the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv that the body they received does not belong to their deceased kin but that of a Chinese national.
DFA spokesman Charles Jose earlier said that based on initial findings, the Israeli funeral and repatriation service company that handled the shipping of Peralta’s remains made a mistake in handling the documents of the deceased by inadvertently sticking them to a different casket. —KBK, GMA News
