OFW group issues 10 challenges to Duterte

A pro-migrant group on Tuesday gave President-elect Rodrigo Duterte 10 challenges that it said he should try to accomplish within his first 100 days in office.

At a press briefing, Gary Martinez, chair of Migrante International, said these challenges can be implemented through Duterte's proposed Department of Overseas Filipino Workers.
He said accomplishing these goals may serve as "confidence-building" measures among OFWs and their families until Duterte addresses the causes of forced migration.
Incoming Social Welfare Secretary Judy Taguiwalo said she will do her best to bring the grievances of OFWs to Duterte's attention.
[Pero] ipapaabot ko rin ito sa abot ng aking makakaya," she said. —KBK, GMA News
