OFW hit by a car, dies in Italy

A Filipina overseas worker died after she got hit by a car in Milan, Italy, a report on 24 Oras Weekend said Saturday.
Myrna Reyes, a domestic helper, was on her way home when an SUV struck her, which caused her to suffer a head trauma.
Reyes was brought to a hospital and was able to tell who the authorities can inform about the accident.
The OFW died after an hour due to internal bleeding, the report said.
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration is working to bring the victim's remains back to the Philippines.
Reyes' husband will receive a cash incentive and livelihood assistance.
It was not clear if Reyes is a member of the OWWA.
OFWs who signed up with OWWA are entitled to P200,000 for death due to accident and a burial benefit of P20,000. — John Ted Cordero/APG, GMA News
