50-year-old Pinay killed in Toronto hit-and-run incident


A 50-year-old Filipina was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Toronto, Canada, reports said.
A report on CTV News Toronto said Isabel Soria died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in the Briar Hill area last June 11.
A separate report on CP24 said the victim was hit by a "silver or grey Dodge Ram pickup truck."
It said police have described the driver as a white male in his 30s who was wearing a construction vest at the time of the incident.
Soria's husband, who was with her during the accident, has moved to Canada from the Philippines last year to be his family.
In an interview with CTV News Toronto, Bryan Naguit, the nephew of the victim, urged the driver to turn himself into police. —KBK, GMA News

STAR / Michael Varcas MANILA, Philippines — While Chinese vessels in the West Philippine Sea (WPS) have decreased in number, they have maintained a presence in three key land features where naval and coast guard ships have intensified operations in the past seven days, according to the Philippine Navy.
