Nearly 200 hired on the spot in first half of DOLE job fair

Nearly 200 jobseekers were hired on the spot as of Tuesday noon at the Independence Day job and business fairs held in various locations by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
According to DOLE, 184 (11.2 percent) of the 2,132 applicants interviewed as of 1 p.m. were hired on the spot. Of this number, 184 were for local jobs and 13 were for overseas jobs.
Of the 1,649 applicants considered qualified for positions offered locally (1,162) and overseas (359), 936 were nearly hired.
DOLE registered 4,162 applicants for local (1,219) and overseas (1,318) jobs at all sites.
In Metro Manila, 86 applicants were hired on the spot, 1,358 were classified for further interview, and 273 were considered qualified for the 32,878 job vacancies solicited by 73 employers at Rizal Park.
Region 8 and CARAGA will hold their job fairs on June 15 at the following locations:
  • Region 8 - Provincial Covered Court, Catbalogan City, Samaar
  • CARAGA - Provincial Capitol Training Center, Provincial Capitol Building, Butuan City
Job applicants are required to bring the following:
For local employment:
  • Resume (bring multiple copies)
  • 2 x 2 ID photo
  • Photocopy of training certificates
  • Driver’s license (if applicable)
  • Accreditation for Heavy Equipment Operators (if applicable)
  • PRC license (if applicable)
  • Diploma
For overseas employment:
  • Curriculum Vitae (bring multiple copies)
  • 2 x 2 ID photo
  • Diploma
  • Passport
  • Photocopy of NSO Birth Certificate (for visa application)
  • NBI clearance
  • PRC License (if applicable)
  • Certificate of Employment
