Remains of OFW killed in Slovakia to arrive in PH on Tuesday

MANILA -- The remains of a Filipino worker, who was fatally mauled in Slovakia, are expected to arrive in the Philippines on Tuesday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.
The remains of Henry John Acorda will be repatriated from Bratislava on Monday on board a Slovak government aircraft, which is expected to arrive in Manila at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Ambassador to Vienna Ma. Cleofe Natividad is expected to accompany the remains and Acorda's family.
The 36-year-old financial analyst was mauled while protecting a Filipina friend from being sexually harassed by a Slovak national.
Acorda died few days later from injuries he sustained in the attack.
The suspect identified as Juraj Hossu is facing charges of manslaughter, which has a penalty of 7 to 12 years in prison.
Acorda had been working for a multinational company in Slovakia for a little over a year. He was transferred there by the company from Malaysia. His family was supposed to visit him in May for the spring season.
