Remains of OFW killed in Slovakia to arrive in the PHL Tuesday

The remains of Henry John Acorda — the Filipino who was beaten to death in Bratislava, Slovakia last month — will arrive in the Philippines on Tuesday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced.
"(T)he remains of Henry John Acorda will be repatriated from Bratislava on Monday on board a Slovak government aircraft that is expected to arrive in Manila at 11 a.m.," the department said in a Sunday statement.
Ambassador to Vienna Ma. Cleofe Natividad, Acorda's mother and two siblings were accompanying the remains.
Acorda was assaulted by the suspect Jaraj H., an alleged neo-nazi, after the Filipino attempted to defend two women the suspect was harassing.
The Filipino was knocked down to the ground, and Jaraj's attack was stopped only when two men intervened.
Acorda, 36, died died from his injuries on May 31 at the University Hospital Ruzjnov.
Following Acorda's death, thousands of Slovaks gathered to pay tribute to the Filipino. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/DVM, GMA News
