US embassy: Visa interview appointments for Dec. 8 reset to Dec. 12

United States immigrant visa applicants who were scheduled for interview last Monday will have their visa interview schedules reset to Friday, Dec. 12, the US Embassy said Tuesday.

In an announcement on its website, the US Embassy said applicants affected by the embassy's closure due to bad weather Monday may go to the embassy grounds before 6:15 a.m.

"All affected applicants have been rescheduled to Friday, December 12.  Please come prepared for your immigrant visa appointment on the new date, and plan to arrive no later than 6:15 a.m.," it said.

The US Embassy was closed Monday due to bad weather conditions from Typhoon Ruby (Hagupit).

Ruby has since weakened into a tropical depression. Joel Locsin/KBK, GMA News
