Parol-making, Christmas Mass lined up for Pinoys in HK
They may be far from home, but Filipinos in Hong Kong can get a taste of Christmas in the Philippines with a parol (lantern)-making contest and a Misa de Aguinaldo.
In posts on its website, the Philippine consulate general in Hong Kong said the parol-making contest is open to Filipino community associations.
Entries must be made from recycled materials and be battery-operated. A top prize of HK$5,000(roughly P 28,700) awaits the winning entries.
Meanwhile, Christmas Masses are scheduled at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 24, and at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 25, Christmas Day.
