Trust fund started for families of Pinoy fatalities in Alberta car crash –report
A trust fund has been set up for the families of the four Filipino workers who perished in last week's car crash in Edmonton, Canada.
A report on CTV News Canada said interested donors may donate to any ATB branch in Alberta to the Filipino Accident Trust Fund.
The trust fund was set up by the Filipino community in Edmonton following a November 30 memorial for the victims.
In a separate report on Edmonton Sun, Consul General Esmeralda Agbulos said it was heartening to see the efforts of the community, and described temporary foreign workers, which the four victims were, as a “hard working new set of heroes.”
The victims were identified as Ramil Mose and Archie Bermillo, both fry cooks, and Eva Caperina and Rosalina Tipda, both nannies.
Mose's family in the Philippines has already appealed for the speedy repatriation of his remains.
