Saudi Arabia to immediately deport expats with expired visas – report

Expatriates in Saudi Arabia face immediate deportation if they are caught with expired residency visas, a Saudi news site Arab News reported on Saturday.

Passport Department Director General Maj. Gen. Suleiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya warned that expatriates who do not renew their visa out of "negligence" will be subjected to regulatory procedures without hesitation.

The Passport Department will also remind expatriate sponsors of the need for proper visas via SMS, so their workers will not be deported due to residency laws.

However, expatriates reported by their sponsors will be deported immediately. — Joel Locsin/DVM, GMA News
