Adobo Festival celebrates 10 years of Filipino culture

More fun, more prizes, more adobo! These are what await the attendees of this year’s Adobo Festival, organized by JSCamins Productions, the event that prides itself as the first Filipino-American gypsy festival in the US Bay Area that will celebrate its 10th anniversary on August 1-2, 2015.

Since its launch in 2006, the Adobo Festival has been serving the Filipino-American community significant portions of Filipino culture that excite the senses. Through the Adobo Cook-off, fans of authentic Filipino cuisine will get to see and even try out variations of adobo, one of the most well-known and loved Filipino dishes.

Attendees will also bear witness to the birth of a new generation of singers at the Kiddie Popstar Contest. Booths offering a range of Pinoy products and services will also be open for anyone who wants to take home a gastronomical treat of Filipino culture.

Adding some spice to this year’s Festival is Krista Kleiner. Kleiner is a former beauty queen and Kapuso who has made appearances in a number of GMA programs and international events.

GMA Pinoy TV and GMA Life TV will also make a comeback as Adobo Festival’s exclusive media sponsors. As this year also marks GMA’s international channels’ 10th year, attendees can expect surprises and lots of giveaways at the Kapuso booth.

The 10th Adobo Festival will take place at the Kennedy Park in Union City, California. Admission is free.
