OFW dies while taking ‘selfie’ on Pagudpud highway



An OFW who was on vacation was killed after she was hit by a speeding motorcycle while she was taking a "selfie" in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, GMA News' "24 Oras" reported on Wednesday.

Liezel Wage, who was with her family, asked that their vehicle stop so she could take pictures of herself and her family with the scenic view as their background.

A wayward motorcycle, however, cut the picture-taking short as it hit her while she took the photo. Her family managed to rush her to the hospital, but she eventually died.

Wage's family has already filed a complaint against the motorcycle driver, who turned out to be a minor. —Rie Takumi/NB, GMA News

STAR / Michael Varcas MANILA, Philippines — While Chinese vessels in the West Philippine Sea (WPS) have decreased in number, they have maintained a presence in three key land features where naval and coast guard ships have intensified operations in the past seven days, according to the Philippine Navy.
