Hundreds of seniors join SSS Pensioners? Day




A total of 300 pensioners of the Social Security System (SSS) participated in the SSS Pensioners? Day hosted by the SSS Commonwealth and Batasan branches held at the Activity Center of the Robinsons Nova Market mall in Novaliches, Quezon City on August 28. The attendees interacted with their fellow pensioners and SSS branch personnel during the event?s song numbers, dance activities and fun games. The SSS Pensioners? Day is a long-running program organized by SSS branches that features social activities, raffle prizes, inspirational talks, medical services, and lectures on health and wellness for senior citizens. In her Welcome Message, Abolencia updated the pensioners on the latest SSS developments and reminded them of their schedule of compliance for the Annual Confirmation of Pensioners program. The SSS Medical Operations Department provides regular support for the event thru free health consultations, medicines and vitamins, as facilitated by supervising physician Dr. Solenia Antoinette J. Simbulan.
For 2015, the SSS NCR North Division has conducted a total of five SSS Pensioners? Days to date, with three more scheduled this year. The NCR North Division oversees 14 SSS branches, namely: Batasan Hills, Commonwealth, Congressional, Cubao, Deparo, Diliman, Eastwood, Kalookan, Malabon, Navotas, Novaliches, Paso de Blas, San Francisco del Monte and Valenzuela, as well as four SSS Service Offices in Ali Mall, LRT Kalookan Mall, Robinsons Place Malabon and Robinsons Nova Market.
